There’s much more to your future than examination results and qualifications. So we make
sure that you’re equipped with the extracurricular achievements, critical thinking ability, and
personal and social skills, to set yourself apart when it comes to future opportunities.

“Our job is about so much more than helping our students achieve academic success. Our role is to broaden their outlook, deliver new experiences, and inspire them to aspire to great things, personally and professionally.”

Enriched learning and skills development

Our students benefit from an exceptional Enrichment Programme with sessions twice a week that span a diverse range of skills and activities.

From sports to debating, and from performing arts to journalism, there are many ways to challenge yourself, try new things and extend your interests.

You have the opportunity to develop the following as part of our Enrichment Programme:

  • Creativity: get involved in the performing arts, whether that’s acting, costumes, orchestra, rock band, comedy, or backstage tech
  • Activity: join an elite sports team and compete regionally or simply have go at something new, from yoga or basketball to fencing or rowing
  • Service: make a difference within the local and global community through initiatives such as charity fundraising, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and Model United Nations
Cambridge Model United Nations - https://cammun.org/

All these activities build important life skills such as collaboration, empathy, self-confidence and
independent thinking.

“The range of extracurricular activities on offer allowed me to discover more about myself and what I wanted to do in the future.”

Henry, student

Our sixth form students also study the Theory of Knowledge, a subject that develops critical
thinking ability so that our students can think more creatively, logically, analytically and
independently.

We’re proud that universities and businesses alike value the additional skills and achievements
our students enjoy because of the opportunities made available to them at the Stephen Perse
Sixth Form.

Your wellbeing is our priority

We understand that you need to feel good mentally, physically and emotionally in order to
achieve your best and reach for the future you really want. That’s why we put student wellbeing
at the heart of our approach to education.

We work hard to help you feel safe, confident and supported throughout your time at the sixth
form. Our small community places great value on empathy, communication, and self-
awareness. You’ll grow as an individual while you’re with us, and we’ll be there to guide and
inspire you every step of the way.
