Working with us

Our Foundation is a family of four Nursery and Early Years settings and four independent schools in Cambridge, Madingley and Saffron Walden, providing an educational pathway for boys and girls from age 1-18.

From Richard Girvan, Principal

At the Stephen Perse Foundation everyone is a learner.

Our teachers strive to inspire and engage through a wide range of pedagogical approaches – supported by a wider team of dedicated, professional staff.

Together, we are providing an education that is holistic and forward-thinking, to prepare young people for a future in our fast-changing world.

Our future

We believe in the importance of investing in the future.

In joining us, you’ll become part of our exciting plans for the future.

Getting to know us

Find out more about our vision, our approach to learning and our history.

  • Our vision

Rather than just turning out young people who are highly-skilled at passing exams, we prepare young people to be independent thinkers in an ever-changing world.
  • Our curriculum

Our Learning Wheel places the learner at its core, is holistic and integrates the key areas of knowledge and understanding with thinking skills and learning characteristics.
  • Our history

Founded in 1881, originally as The Perse School for Girls, we have always been at the forefront of progress in education. This continues today, with awards such as Independent School of the Year and IB School of the Year amongst our recent accolades.
