  • Oxbridge Success

    Published 18/12/16

We are delighted to announce that a quarter of our current Upper 6th students applying to university have secured offers from Oxford and Cambridge (Oxbridge).

Our 17 offers in total span a wide range of subjects:

    · Anglo Saxon, Norse and Celtic

    · Biochemistry

    · Classics

    · Engineering

    · French and Italian

    · French and Linguistics

    · History

    · Human, Social and Political Sciences (2)

    · Law

    · Mathematics

    · Medicine (2)

    · Philosophy and German

    · Physics

    · Psychology and Behavioural Science

    · Theology

Tricia Kelleher, was delighted with the results, saying: “We congratulate our students on their outstanding success in gaining offers for some of the most competitive university courses, not simply in the UK, but on a global level. Given the ever-increasing competition for Oxbridge places, our students’ success is especially laudable. The range of courses they have selected to study reflects both the strength of our curriculum across the full range of disciplines and our students’ independence of thought and intellectual initiative.”

Whilst we celebrate our students’ success here and rightly so, Oxbridge is also certainly not the best route for every student nor every subject. It is with the greatest pleasure that we fully recognise the success of all our students as they secure offers of places to read the subjects of their choice.
