This year has seen a record number of Stephen Perse students gaining places at Oxford and Cambridge universities, with the former the leading destination for leavers. Other popular destinations include University College London (UCL), Imperial College London, University of Edinburgh, University of Bristol, Durham University, as well as places being taken up at other prestigious institutions such as Royal Veterinary College, Courtauld Institute of Art and New York University (NYU).

This year’s departing students have demonstrated their passion and versatility for learning by excelling in a broad range of subjects. Among students’ diverse fields of study at university are Medicine, Biochemistry, Law, Mechanical Engineering, PPE, English, Fine Art, Classics, Music and many more.

Stephen Ward, the current Vice-Principal and Head of 11-18 who will be taking on the role of Principal from September 2026, said: “We are incredibly proud of what this year’s students have accomplished. Their results are the culmination of our students’ commitment to excellence and the support provided by their families and teachers. It is tremendously rewarding to see them progressing to an incredible range of universities in the UK and across the world, pursuing subjects that reflect the breadth of their talents and ambitions.

“As our students, many of whom have been with us since junior school, begin the next chapter in their lives, they will take with them the confidence, independence and values that shaped their time at Stephen Perse Cambridge.”

At Stephen Perse Cambridge Sixth Form, students benefit from expert teaching, outstanding preparation for university, and personalised pastoral care that enables them to flourish academically and personally. Students are encouraged to choose 3 to 4 A Levels from a rich and varied curriculum and are offered the opportunity to take the Extended Project Qualification (equivalent to half an A Level) to enhance their educational journey.
