Any school, indeed, any group of schools, is only as strong as its people. We boast exceptional people across all of its schools and nurseries, and invest in their recruitment, development and empowerment to ensure our pupils benefit from excellent role models, outstanding support and exceptional teaching.
We consider this investment in our people to be of utmost importance. We are united in embracing the modern world and in seeking to help our pupils to find and take their place in it, as confident, socially responsible adults. We seek to attract people who are inspired by this challenge, people who share our values, people who are passionate about our collective vision of developing the change-makers of the future.

Cambridge is an incredible city to live and work in. Whether you crave the buzz of a cosmopolitan city centre or the tranquility of an English country village, our region offers a diverse range of living options with exceptional connectivity.
Cambridge itself is full of beautiful green spaces such as Midsummer Common and Parker’s Piece, and the River Cam runs through the city, where you can punt along The Backs to see the stunning college gardens and under the famous Mathematical Bridge and past King’s College. For foodies, the city has everything from Michelin-starred dining, to the legendary Chelsea buns at Fitzbillies, and an array of diverse culinary options on Mill Road.
Despite its small size, Cambridge punches well above its weight in culture. You can catch West End touring shows at the Cambridge Arts Theatre, live music and comedy at the Corn Exchange or Junction, or explore world-class collections at the many museums. Throughout the year you can enjoy the famous Cambridge Folk Festival, several Cambridge Literary Festival events and annual Beer Festival on Jesus Green.
With an extensive network of dedicated cycle lanes and greenways, many of our staff cycle to work year-round, bypassing traffic and staying active. Fast trains run frequently from Cambridge Station to London King’s Cross (approx. 50 mins) and Liverpool Street, making it easy to enjoy a night out in London or for partners to commute into the capital. For international travel, London Stansted Airport is just a 30-minute train ride away, putting Europe and the world on your doorstep.

Saffron Walden has been named the best place to live in the UK by The Sunday Times and it is easy to see why. The town is famous for its "pargetting" (decorative plasterwork) and colourful timber-framed buildings, giving the centre a uniquely preserved, historic feel. It is a community that prides itself on independence; you will find far more family-run butchers, bakers, and boutiques here than high street chains. The market, held on Tuesdays and Saturdays since 1141, remains the beating heart of the town.
The town is home to Audley End House, one of England’s finest Jacobean stately homes. Its expansive grounds become your back garden for weekend walks, summer concerts, and open-air cinema. Within the town itself, The Common and the Bridge End Garden (a restored Victorian garden with a hedge maze) offer stunning spaces for children to play and adults to unwind.
Saffron Hall is an award-winning, world-class concert venue that attracts international orchestras and soloists that would usually only play London. The town also boasts its own independent cinema, the Saffron Screen, and a calendar packed with community events, from the Fête de la Musique to the Carnival.
Living in Saffron Walden offers a rural pace without isolation. The town is well-connected, being only a short drive from Cambridge and London Stansted Airport.
